Recently he devised and published The AI Mirror Test, to test LLMs for self-awareness, which went viral on X. Josh founded his first company in college at the age of 23 and later sold it to the Ford Motor Co. He then spent much of the next 10 years traveling the world, studying the nature of consciousness, and also working on global social and environmental issues through his non-profit initiative MakeSoil.
