Brian Kennedy
Composer, Songwriter & Producer - Hits to Healing
Four times Grammy Award-winner and musical phenomenon, Brian Kennedy, developed an appreciation for piano music at an early age. Self-taught at six years old, he established the foundation for the composer he became at eight. Gifted with the ability to hear and memorize scales and melodies, he would take songs and make them his own. He always wanted to play from the heart, rather than from something that’s been written.
Kennedy's career spans over 20 years, making him one of the few songwriter-producers who've navigated this business to such a wide degree. Some of his credits include chart-topping hits and fan favorites such as Rihanna's 'Disturbia', Chris Brown's 'Forever', Doechii and Kodak Black's 'What It Is', and Kelly Clarkson's 'Mr. Know It All'. Kennedy also contributed to Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson’s self-titled debut album as a writer and producer. This effort earned him his first Grammy for Best R&B Album at the 2009 awards ceremony. Her hit song 'If This Isn’t Love' garnered an ASCAP win for Kennedy too.
Revered as a piano prodigy, Kennedy’s musical genius has afforded him the opportunity to work with several top artists and producers, including Smokey Robinson, The Weeknd, Timbaland, Lady Gaga, Rascal Flatts, Kelly Clarkson, Dallas Davidson, Dr. Dre, Backstreet Boys, David Foster, Clive Davis, Natasha Bedingfield, Sueco, Tyler, the Creator, Thomas Rhett, Doechii and many others.
With Hits To Healing, Kennedy and his team aim to address health equity by bridging the existing gaps in disproportionate rates. Using music and information sharing, their goal is to reach, teach and connect with communities.
